LAHORE:

Lahore Investigations Police recovered an infant and arrested three suspects, including an infertile couple, who allegedly kidnapped the baby from Lahore General Hospital (LGH).

SSP Investigations Imran Kishwar stated during a press conference that the suspects, Fauzia Bibi and her husband Hafeez Aurangzeb, could not have a child. They had reportedly been considering adopting a child for at least four years.

Earlier this week, Fauzia and Hafeez entered General Hospital around 4am with the intent of adopting a child. After spotting Nazia Bibi carrying her child, Fauzia approached and expressed love and affection with the child.

After gaining Nazia’s confidence, Fauzia asked her to leave the area to bring milk for the child and promised to take care of the child in the meanwhile.

When Nazia left, the suspects fled the scene with the child. The couple’s accomplice, Abdul Subhan, took them to Kasur where they went into hiding.

Police after analysing the evidence arrested the suspects, said SSP Kishwar.
