KURIANWALA:

Four persons, including two women, deprived a shrine attendant of cash, jewelery and valuable clothes through a fake marriage scam.

According to the case filed by Shrine servant Muhammad Din, it was stated that accused, Nadeem Sarwar, approached him with a proposal; if Din paid Rs100,000, Sarwar would arrange his marriage. Din paid Rs80,000 to the accused, who arranged a fake marriage with a woman identified as Shahnaz Bibi Sial, but did not give him the marriage certificate.

Shahnaz Bibi told Din that she was going to visit her parents, taking Rs200,000 worth of jewelry, expensive clothes and Rs200,000 in cash.

She never returned. The accused allegedly conspired to forge a marriage certificate and cheated Din out of the aforementioned assets and cash.
