HYDERABAD:

A man has appealed the Sindh police chief to order an impartial and transparent inquiry into the murder of his son on the pretext of so-called honour killing.

"My son Sher Muhammad Bozdar, 22, was wrongly named in a Karo-Kari case and killed in cold blood by Mahrab Bozdar and Nawab Bozdar," the deceased's father said.

Sher Muhammad had gone to water the fields in Goth Raees Bozdar when Mahrab Bozdar and Nawab Bozdar shot him dead, the complainant stated.

The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs.

No arrest could be made till filing this report.

The police have started a probe into the incident.

A tense situation and a mourning atmosphere prevailed in the village due to the ghastly incident.
