People lynch two suspected robbers

KARACHI:

People lynched two suspected robbers in Orangi Town on Friday, while an accomplice survived the brutal beating.

Police officials said that three suspects were robbing a citizen in Iqbal Market on Friday morning. The citizen put up a resisitance on which the suspects shot him, snatched his cash and cell phone and fled.

However, hearing the cries of the injured, a crowd gathered and surrounded the suspects.

The people brutally tortured the three suspects. As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and after a fierce struggle rescued the suspects from the clutches of the enraged citizens.

The three dacoits, including the injured youth, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. The injured youth, 22-year-old Tehseen Javed, sustained a bullet in his leg and another in his back.
