Actor Ameer Gilani graduates from Harvard Law School and Mawra Hocane is over the moon

The 'Sabaat' actors are rumoured to be dating while some even claim they're husband and wife.

Congratulations are in order for actor Ameer Gilani, who has received his law degree from the prestigious Harvard Law School. The budding star shared pictures from his graduation to Instagram, inviting congratulatory messages from the drama fraternity. Gilani's friend, fellow actor and rumoured lady love Mawra Hocane also took the opportunity to share how proud she was of him.

Taking to the photo sharing app, Gilani penned in the post dedicated to his life-altering achievement, "Smiles all around! Alhamdulillah. Nothing beats the feeling of being surrounded by happy and positive people." He then dedicated his feat to "mama, baba, Ranya and all my lovely friends, those I could celebrate with and those who have prayed from a distance. Love and prayers for all of you."

Gilani concluded with a nod to everything that helped him get where he is today. "Thori Qabiliyat (a little potential), Boht achay ustaad (amazing teachers), Boht Zyaada mehnat (a lot of hard work), Uss se zyaada sab ki duaein or sab se zyaada Allah Ka Karam (and more than all that everyone's prayers and God's blessings), Alhamdulillah."

Hocane took to the comments section of his post in sheer glee. "Ameer! Congratulations MashaAllah," she wrote. "You make our hearts swell with immense pride and joy, always!
brilliant brilliant achievement!" In response, Gilani shared, "Thank you very much Mawra. Couldn't have been possible without your prayers! I know how much you prayed and helped from a distance!" She replied, "You’re most welcome. Now come back and let’s roll, InshaAllah! Also, treat?"

Gilani maintained that he was excited to return and get back to rolling, "Oh yes! Excited for that InshaAllah. Of course, as soon as I’m back."

Gilani starred in Sabaat opposite Hocane and their onscreen chemistry sparked many questions as viewers enjoyed their convincing performances. About their purported "romance", Hocane had even asserted in a tête-à-tête on The Big Pick, “It is so nice of the fans that they love me and Ameer together, we are very good friends, and if fans like us together then they will definitely enjoy our upcoming drama, I take these comments as compliments, it’s so sweet of fans. Ameer is an amazing human being and we both are very close friends and friends can marry too if they want."

It was reported back in February that the duo is all set to star in a new drama soon.
