How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is all about what makes me feel glamorous and unique. I love putting in effort in my outfits - no matter where I’m going! I don’t take the pressure of what’s trending and what’s not. I like to be myself and be the trend setter instead.
How has your style changed over the years?
Well it has definitely gotten better and I learnt and gained confidence to try out new things. If I go back in time, I probably did not have enough confidence to try out different looks but now I’m always ready to take the risk because I know I’d be able to carry it anyway.
What do you carry effortlessly eastern or western wear?
Honestly – both. Like every outfit is a different character for me and I try to enjoy it. I avoid wearing clothes I’m not feeling.
How do you dress your body according to your body type?
I usually don’t have a problem dressing my body type because I’m a standard small so thankfully everything works out for me when it comes to dressing for my body type.
In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing?
I think the biggest mistake one can make is forcefully follow a new trend and not fully owning it. It shows when you’re not feeling your outfit. Just wear what you like, style it the way you think you’ll be able to carry it effortlessly. Don’t force yourself or take pressure of things you don’t personally like.
Which silhouettes suit your body the most?
That’s a tricky one! I can’t choose one thing but if I really have to then I think I really like saris on me. I feel like a 90’s Bollywood heroine in it.
What’s the basic mistake girls make while choosing a silhouette for themselves
Anything that is way too revealing and uncomfortable I think should be avoided. Being comfortable in what you wear really boosts your confidence and you will look good no matter what.
What are three essential clothing items everyone should have in their wardrobe?
Definitely high waisted pants in white and black, a basic square neck top in all colours or at least the neutrals and black heels. Goes with everything!
