'Pakistan Navy fully cognisant of maritime security challenges'

Jointness remains central to modern concept of military operations as it ensures success in warfare, says naval chief

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi has said that the Pakistan Navy is fully cognisant of maritime security challenges evolving under the ambit of hybrid warfare, the military said in a statement.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, Admiral Niazi expressed these remarks while addressing students during a visit to Command and Staff College in Quetta.

Upon arrival, the military media wing said, the naval chief was received by the Commandant Command and Staff College, Quetta. While addressing the staff course participants, Admiral Niazi paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan armed force in defence of the country.

The ISPR said that he emphasised keeping abreast with the latest trends and further making endeavours to deal with emerging complex and dynamic security environments.

The admiral reiterated that jointness remained central to the modern concept of military operations as it ensures success in today's warfare. He highlighted that in the prevalent geo-strategic milieu, the Pakistan Navy is fully cognisant of maritime security challenges evolving under the ambit of hybrid warfare.

He further emphasised that the Pakistan Navy is always ready to tackle the maritime security challenges facing the country with the active support of sister services.

Later on, the Chief of the Naval Staff interacted with faculty and student officers including foreign officers undergoing staff course at the premier institution.

He also visited the headquarters of Quetta Corps during his visit to Quetta and lauded the commitment and professionalism of Pakistan armed forces, the statement further said.
