KARACHI:

Simply asking a biker not to do stunts on motorcycle caused a youth his life, while the rider landed behind bars and the suspected killer and other assailants on the run.

In sheer stupidity that devastated lives of the victim's relatives left mourning and the suspects' families caught up in cases and paying through nose for defence lawyers, the bike rider instead of heeding or ignoring the warning of a passerby, chose to call up his brother and friends to beat him up.

In this regard, Gadap City police station SHO Fahad Hussain said that a young man named Muhammad Hasnain Faiz was doing stunts on his motorbike at a private housing society near Super Highway.

Meanwhile two youth Jazlan Faisal, 20, Shah Mir Noman, 20, driving by in a car yelled at Faiz not to do stunts, Hussain said quoting the statement of Faiz, Noman and other eyewitnesses.

At this Faiz got infuriated and challenged Faisal and Noman to pullover.

There was a heated argument on which Faiz called his elder brother Irfan on phone.

Soon Irfan came riding with his friend Inshal and their biker gang. After a brief exchange of profanities they started thrashing Faisal and Noman.

Meanwhile, Irfan, whipped out a pistol and opened fire hitting Faisal in the head and Noman in the arm.

The suspects fled realizing they had committed a murder. Meanwhile, people nearby alerted the police and both the injured were rushed to a private hospital on Stadium Road where Fasial succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

SHO Hussain said police have arrested Faiz and shifted him to the police station.

While the police have started searching for the fugitives and raids are being carried out to nab them.

Meanwhile, the police handed over the body of the deceased youth to his heirs after due process.
