KARACHI:

The MQM Pakistan’s Rabita Committee has expressed deep concern over the increasing electricity load-shedding in Karachi.

The Rabita Committee said that prolonged power outages in summer have made the lives of citizens miserable. K-Electric has put the people of Karachi in trouble day and night. Prolonged load-shedding is taking place in most parts of Karachi without any notice. These outages are seriously affecting the lives of people. The people are deeply disappointed that there is no reduction in load shedding.

Government agencies also seem helpless in the face of K-Electric’s whims. Despite receiving 1100 watts from the federation, there is no electricity for the citizens of Karachi.

The members of the Rabita Committee further said that the production and distribution system of K-Electric was in disarray, and as a result of which, the citizens were suffering. K-Electric’s focus is on dropping ‘bill bombs’ on the citizens.

Similarly, load-shedding is also going on during students’ examinations, due to which students are facing severe difficulties.
