CM vows to follow Constitution, jointly serve people

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz on Wednesday asserted that he had the best working relationship with allies and everybody would be taken along in the journey of public service.

Speaking to PPP MPAs Syed Hassan Murtaza, Syed Haider Gillani and Makhdoom Usman Ahmad Mehmood who called on him, he said every step had been taken  taken in accordance with the law and the Constitution and the government would follow the Constitution in future as well.

Vowing to jointly serve the masses, he alleged that the previous rulers had played havoc with the Constitution and they were also responsible for destroying the econmy.

PPP MPA from Rahim Yar Khan, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, also met Chief Minister Hamza to discuss problems related to his constituency. The CM said during the meeting that the PML-N and PPP had jointly strived to get rid of an incompetent government. "I have resumed the journey of development from where my father had left it," he said. MPA Zeshan Rafiq was also present.

Jahangir Tareen group's MPAs Nauman Langrial, Faisal Hayat Jabwana, Zawar Hussain Warraich, Lala Tahir Randhawa, Ajmal Cheema and Mian Khalid Mahmood also met the chief minister.

As per an official announcement, a  commitment to move along was reiterated and the CM said he intends to focus on benefiting people instead of indulging in mundane politics.

Prime Minister's Adviser Qamar Zaman Kaira also called on Chief Minister Hamza to discuss the political situation.

Both condemned what they termed undemocratic tactics employed by the PTI.

The chief minister said the youth were befooled with promises about houses and employment opportunities while the economy teetered due to wrong policies under the previous government.

He vowed to solve the problems of people in partnership with allied parties.

Chairing a meeting to review steps for improving cleanliness arrangements in the provincial metropolis and examining proposals to devise a new cleanliness system, the CM said Lahore, which once was a neat and clean city, had been ruined in the last four years.
