KARACHI:

In a case before a special anti-terrorism of assault on police during the Lyari operation, defence lawyer Abid Zaman, while cross-examining witnesses, unearthed the weaknesses of the investigation.

The case was heard at the Anti-Terrorism Complex in Karachi Central Jail. Big claims by police officers began to weaken the cases against Uzair Baloch.

During the hearing, defense counsel Abid Zaman disclosed the weak investigation in the cross-examination of witnesses.

Uzair Baloch's lawyer Abid Zaman, while questioning the witness, asked how many shots were fired by Uzair Baloch and his associates.

The witness replied that the accused fired 5,000 to 6,000 shots. The defence lawyer pointed out that even though 5,000 to 6,000 shots were fired, no policeman or passerby was injured.

According to witnesses, policemen were injured in the rocket attack. "Did police seize 5,000 to 6,000 bullet casings from the scene," he asked?

The witness replied that only a few shells were seized. The court adjourned the hearing till June 4 after cross-examination of the accused's lawyer.

A case has been registered against Uzair Baloch, Zahid Ladla, Habib Baloch and others at Kharadar police station.
