Minor boy raped, murdered
Police have arrested a man for slaughtering an eight-yearold boy after brutally raping him at a library in the Marvi Goth of Quaidabad. The body of the victim was found in the back side of a library within the jurisdiction of Shah Latif police station.
Police shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital where the victim was identified as 8-year-old Shakir Hussain son of Abdul Rasheed. The victim was brutally murdered by the accused who used a sharp instrument to cut his throat. The victim's father told Express Tribune that "he works in a private factory and belonged to Shikarpur". He further told that he had three sons.
The victim was in second place while he was a student of second grade in a private school near his home. He went on to say that Shakir Hussain was fond of bazaar bread and burgers. He said, "When I came home, Shakir expressed his desire of buying bread. I gave him money and told him to buy a bread from the hotel near my house.
When Shakir did not return for a long time I went out to look for my son." Locals told him that the body of his son lying behind the library constructed in the back street. He went on to say that When he went there, he found body of Shakir while Balaj Korai, a 17-year-old boy from the area was present in the library, whose clothes were also stained with blood. The police took Balaj Korai into custody.
The father of the slain, Abdul Rasheed and his other relatives have demanded of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Additional Inspector general (IG) Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon and other authorities to provide them justice. They demanded that the accused should be awarded exemplary punishment.
The father said that the arrested accused Balaj Korai is a resident of Korai area. His parents have bought him CD125 motorbike besides giving him a lot of money for his undue expenses. People in the area have often seen him with a pistol. Police are interrogating the accused and revelations are expected.
