Police arrest suspect in blind murder case

Accused confesses to escaping with victim’s vehicle after killing him

ISLAMABAD:

Golra police arrested a suspect who was wanted in a blind murder case.

Earlier, police had found the dead body of Khurram Akber advocate from Shah Allah Ditta who was shot dead by an unknown accused.

The police had shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy and informed the deceased family.

Later, on an application of the deceased’s father, Akber Muneer, police registered an FIR and started an investigation.

A special police team traced the murderer and arrested him by using the latest technology and human resource.

The accused was identified as Muhammad Niaz alias Aalian.

The mobile phone and the vehicle of the deceased was also recovered from the accused.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to the murder and told police that he had escaped with the vehicle of the deceased after killing him.

Islamabad Police Inspector General Muhammad Ahsan Younas praised the police team’s investigation and announced cash rewards and commendation certificates in appreciation of their performance.
