Sindh CM orders to prepare investment policy

Says various economic zones in Sindh offer best investment opportunities

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the investment department to prepare investment policy so that investment in different sectors and economic zones in the province could be invited.

"We have vast investment opportunities to offer in different sectors in the province, but we have to open them with the best policy."

This he said while chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister House on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the chief minister on Investment, Syed Qasim Naveed, Chief Secretary, Sohail Rajput, Chairman P&D, Hassan Naqvi, Special Secretary to CM, Sohail Rajput, Additional Secretary Finance, Asad Zamin and others.

The chief minister directed the investment department to prepare an investor-friendly investment policy. "We have special economic zones at Khairpur and Dhabeji. The chief minister said, city's all issues have been resolved and the Education City, located on the link road, Karachi, is ready for launch. Shah directed the chief secretary to hold a meeting on Education City and resolve all its remaining issues so that it could be launched properly.

"We will invite the best educational institutions from around the world to invest in the education sector ity," he said. The chief minister was given a detailed briefing on Khairpur Economic Zone which is ready for investment. Shah said that the Khairpur Zone is located on main National Highway and offers all necessary facilities and best opportunities to attract investment.
