Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday visited the front-line troops deployed in the Padhar sector, where he was briefed about the latest situation on the Line of Control (LoC) and operational readiness of the formation, military said.
According to military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Qamar interacted with the officers and men and had Iftar with them.

While interacting with the troops, it added, he appreciated them for their high state of morale and professional excellence in the performance of sacred duty in defence of motherland.

Earlier, on arrival, Gen Bajwa was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
On Wednesday, Gen Qamar visited forward areas along the LoC and received a briefing on the situation and operational preparedness of the formation.
He interacted with the troops deployed in the Chakothi Sector and spent time with them, and appreciated the combat readiness and high state of morale of the troops.
Last month, the COAS visited Punjab Regimental Centre Mardan and lauded the performance of all ranks.
He appreciated the morale and highest standards of training and operational preparedness of the regiment and stressed the need to excel in professional pursuits in line with the latest trends.
