LAHORE:

Special Anti-Corruption Judge Mehboob Qadir Shah on Friday granted post-arrest bails to four accused in the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) entry test question paper leak case. The court granted bail to Ahsan, Asif, Adil and Sohail on the submission of surety bonds of Rs100,000 each. The four men had filed post-arrest bail applications in the court contending that they were not involved in the paper leak. They said that they had been falsely implicated in the case. They said that the prosecution did not have evidence against them and requested the court to grant them bails. At a previous hearing, the court had dismissed the post-arrest bail application of one of the accused, Shujauddin. Initially, the police had arrested three accused in the case.
