Former prime minister Imran Khan, while addressing a prayer ceremony held on the 27th of Ramadan, called on the nation to pray for breaking the chains between them and their freedom.
The ceremony, which was held at his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad, was led by religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel on account of Shab-e-Qadar (Night of Power).

He said that they wanted to transform Pakistan into a welfare state on the principles of the State of Madinah, and urged the people to strive for the same.
Referring to his ouster from power, Imran once again repeated the claim of an external conspiracy, whereby there was “interference” in the country’s sovereignty as “puppets” were brought to power.

He also referred to Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal’s dream for the country, saying that it was not meant to be a normal country, rather it was meant to become a great nation based on the principles of the State of Madinah.
He also called on the nation to pray to “break the chains” between them and their freedom.
Following the former premier’s address, Maulana Tariq Jameel addressed the people, explaining the significance of the night.
