Sindh police have decided to provide a computer lab, laptops, besides furniture to the investigation department to enhance the professional capacity of the investigators.
According to a spokesperson for South Zone, a meeting was held at the DIG South office to modernise the investigation department in Sindh Police. DIG South Sharjeel Kharal chaired the meeting.
SSP Investigation South, City and Keamari attended the meeting. The meeting considered the steps to assist the investigation officers in light of the vision of Additional IG Karachi and sought suggestions from the SSPs for setting up a new investigation complex. They decided to modernise the computer lab in phases and set up new rooms to provide modern computers, laptops, and modern furniture. The lab will have online access to Criminal Record Office (CRO), Call Data Record (CDR) and NADRA Verification System. Law graduates will be appointed as inspectors at the Investigation Complex to modernise the quality of scrutiny and investigation of case files.

The meeting also directed to make a list of required vehicles for the investigation officers.
