PESHAWAR:

Awami National Party (ANP) has announced moving court against the stay order given by Supreme Court to stop investigation in corruption in BRT construction.

The provincial president of ANP Aimal Wali Khan has said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) were barred by the previous government to investigate corruption in the construction of BRT despite the fact that it is the mega corruption project of PTI.

“The initial investigation by the FIA K-P suggests that the plan was approved without a detailed design and the contract was awarded to a blacklisted firm after surety issued by Bank of West Indies,” he said.

“Corruption was proved in BRT but government moved to Supreme Court to stall investigation into the court,” he said adding that his party will move to court and request withdrawal of the stay order.
