KARACHI:

The Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Karachi Central, acquitted a truck driver in a case of accident in which a young motorcyclist was killed.

The court acquitted truck driver Nasir on the ground of lack of evidence. The court ruled that the victim’s father had refused to identify the accused. “I do not want anyone to be convicted while there is not enough evidence,” the complainant said in his statement.

Defence counsel Makhdoom Ali argued that the father of the victim had demanded that the suspect may be released. The accused had nothing to do with the incident. The real culprit is someone else who has not been caught by the law.
