Two suspects were killed in different alleged police encounters in the city on Tuesday. Reportedly, SIU police killed a suspect during an alleged police encounter near Gulshan-e-Iqbal Disco Bakery and recovered weapons. According to SSP Arif Aziz, the killed suspect was involved in house robberies.
According to details, the Special Investigation Unit Police arrested a suspect while he was injured during an alleged police encounter near Gulshan-e-Iqbal Disco Bakery. The police recovered weapons and a vehicle while the accomplices of the arrested accused managed to escape from the scene. The injured suspect was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital.
SSP Aziz said that the Special Investigation Unit of Street Crime Hotspots near Gulshan-e-Iqbal Disco Bakery was on a police patrol when the SIU police tried to stop six suspects riding a suspicious vehicle and two motorcycles. The suspects in the vehicle opened fire on the policemen. Consequently, an exchange of fire took place between the police and the suspects, while his accomplices left the vehicle and fled. The armed accused snatched another vehicle at gunpoint and fled the scene.
Meanwhile, SIU police arrested another suspect in a critical condition who succumbed to his injuries while on his way to the hospital. According to the police, the armed suspects snatched the vehicle and fled during a police encounter. The vehicle was found by the police near Meteorological Station and was taken into police custody. The SSP said that the slain accused and his accomplices were arrested and jailed before.

Meanwhile, Aziz Bhatti police arrested a suspect who was involved in various incidents of robbery. Reportedly, the suspect, Shah Rukh, along with his gang was robbing the citizens coming out of the bank.
The police recovered weapons and other valuables, whereas the two other accomplices managed to escape from the spot.
