Two suspects were injured in an exchange of fire with AVLC police near Baitul Mukarram Mosque in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police arrested three suspects in alleged police encounters in different parts of the city. According to police officials, suspects Yasir and Hamid were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Both have been involved in various incidents of theft and snatching of motorcycles besides committing several other crimes. Initially, they have disclosed their involvement in several incidents while further investigation has been launched.

Meanwhile, a police encounter took place near a water filter plant in Phase-II of Gulshan-e-Hadid; as a result, they arrested one accused Gul Muhammad.

Police officials said that weapons and stolen goods were recovered from the possession of the accused. An accomplice of the accused managed to escape from the scene. Weapons, motorcycles, mobile phones and other items were recovered from the accused’s possession. The accused is involved in street crime and many other crimes. An investigation has been launched against the accused, in which several vital revelations are expected.
