The influence that star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have over the world of entertainment is obvious after their much-talked-about wedding, and it turns out they also have the bank balance to prove it. The celebrity duo have a combined net worth of INR8 billion, with Alia contributing a larger share to the massive sum.
According to Hindustan Times, Alia’s net worth was valued at INR5.7 billion in 2021, with Ranbir’s being around INR2 billion. Alia is reported to charge INR 150 to 180 million per film, with the actor charging INR20 million per endorsement. The Highway actor is the sixth most valuable celebrity in India.
Ranbir, on the other hand, charges three times as much as his wife, with the actor demanding around INR500 million per film. However, due to the fact that Ranbir is more selective with his work and opts for new projects sporadically, his overall income is lower than Alia’s. Despite his absence on social media, Ranbir is reported to rake in INR60 million per brand shoot.
According to film trade analyst Komal Nahta, “Alia has done more films therefore she has more success to her credit. But Ranbir is no less a superstar. They are young and have everything going for them. They are in demand, doing top films. Brahmastra is one of the costliest films to be ever made in Bollywood.”
The couple tied the knot on Thursday, surrounded by their family and close friends. The couple, clad in matching ivory and gold Sabyasachi ensembles, looked ecstatic as the bride shared glimpses from their wedding.
Taking to Instagram, Alia penned, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married."
