THEKRI WALA:

A man attacked his wife with a sickle and cut off her ear over alleged allegations of illicit relationship.

The victim reportedly sustained multiple stab wounds on her body. Police said in the case filed by Mumtaz Bibi, a resident of Bhai Wala, it was stated that she married her daughter, Shama, to Faqir Muhammad five years ago.

The couple had children and lived in a house on Bhatta Stop, Jhumra Road, which Mumtaz Bibi rented and gave to the victim and her husband. Faqir Muhammad allegedly started affairs with women and forced Shama to engage in criminal activities.

When she refused, the accused Faqir Muhammad took her and their two sons to his relatives in Chak 474 GB on April 9.

On his way back, Faqir Muhammad took Shama to Link Road, took her off the motorcycle and began the assault. He allegedly cut off her ear with a sickle and then began stabbing her.

This caused injuries to the neck, hands and other areas of her body. Passersby reported the severely wounded Shama to police. They reached the spot upon information and shifted her to the hospital for treatment.

Police registered a case against the accused under the provisions of 324-337 A1-337F1-337L2 PPC and began searching for him.
