Three men shot dead in Haripur

Police say separate cases registered against unidentified men

HARIPUR:

Three men were shot dead while one was killed in a road accident in Haripur on Friday.

According to the police, armed men shot and killed 28-year-old Aqal Khan, a resident of Hal Railway Station and dumped his body at Pandak graveyard. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and shifted the body for completing legal and medical formalities. Later, the body was handed over to his family.

In another incident, a young man named Shahzada was gunned down by unidentified assailants who fled after committing the crime.

On the same day, an unidentified man called Sabir Shah when he was at his house in Khabbat and shot him dead.

In Sarai Naimat Khan, Bilal Shah, a resident of Chamak Meera, died when a school van rammed into this motorcycle.

Police have shifted the bodies to Haripur Trauma Centre and registered separate cases.

Meanwhile, police arrested a man and registered a case against him for assaulting his nephews at his house in the limits of Khanpur police station.

Haripur District Police Officer (DPO) Lieutenant Commander (retd) Kashif Aftab Abbasi took notice of the incident and directed deputy superintendent (DSP) Khanpur Jamilur Rehman to register a case and arrest the accused immediately.
