4 more parks inaugurated

Inauguration of the parks also marked the Silver Jubilee of the 100 Parks Project

KARACHI:

Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Commissioner District Central Taha Saleem on Friday inaugurated four more parks after their complete renovation and decoration.

The restored public recreational facilities include Hassan Masnavi Alvi Park, North Karachi, Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Park 11-E North Karachi, Umm Kulsoom Park Buffer Zone, and Parda Park Liaquatabad. The restoration and reopening of the four parks were done under the 100 Parks project of the local government.

The inauguration of the parks also marked the Silver Jubilee of the 100 Parks Project, with Parda Park Liaquatabad being the 25th Park under the development scheme.

Saleem said that both the local bodies and district administration are public service institutions.
