LAHORE:

A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry acquitted model Azma Rao in the murder case of a fellow model.

The high court acquitted the accused, who was previously sentenced to death in the case, on the basis of lack of evidence.

The model was sentenced to death by a sessions court in Lahore for killing a fellow model in 2015 after a Sherakot police station registered a case against her.

However, the model had challenged the death sentence in the high court, which ultimately led to her acquittal in the said case.
