Three terrorists killed in DI Khan operation: ISPR

Military’s media wing says terrorists were actively involved in activities against security forces

Three terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Dera Ismail Khan district on Saturday, the military said.

"On April 2, security forces conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation on the reported presence of terrorists in general area Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District,” military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement this evening.

“During intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed,” the ISPR said. “Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” it added.

It further said that the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

Concluding, the ISPR said that locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area.

On Tuesday, four terrorists were killed and one arrested in an IBO on the reported presence of militants in general area Sheri Khel, Lakki Marwat.

Large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.

In late February, two terrorists were killed in a similar operation in the tehsil Kulachi of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district.
