Nursery rhymes… wow, the nostalgia! Growing up, we were undoubtedly surrounded by a lot of them. Some of them are still catchy enough to get us humming even today. However, despite being a fun way for kids to learn and develop their brains, the popularity of these rhymes seems to have waned over time.

Nursery rhymes and songs facilitate language, learning, and communication. As children listen to and practice rhymes and songs, they become accustomed to the rhythm of language, in its sounds, words, and phrases.

In recognition of nursery rhymes' importance and their benefits for toddlers and young children, one mouth-watering brand has yet again surprised us with an innovative campaign. With a reputation for making healthy, palatable, yet innovative biscuits and cakes that are loved by everyone, EBM's, leading energy biscuit brand, Peek Freans Gluco, this time has released Urdu rhymes 'Gluco Kahani'. What a brilliant initiative indeed!

It’s impressive to see a renowned brand coming up with quality digital local content in Urdu to feed the minds of kids nationwide. Not only does each rhyme boast remarkable animations and captivating visuals, but also has important learning lessons for the kids, taught by none other than adorably animated Urdu-speaking animals. What a great way to evoke the love for animals in kiddies!

We adore how Gluco Kahani has included animals from land and water to help children learn about loving and caring for them all while further exploring the traits of both.

Kuchu Kuchu Kachuwa is about a turtle who is known for being the slowest while it walks. The rhyme teaches children to look at things from a new perspective. This cute little creature might be slow when it comes to walking but when the kachwa swims, his strengths outshine.

'Pyar se jo bulayega, pyar se milunga, uska dost hojaonga'… this rhyme successfully combats the issue of stereotyping. Sher is always a character who everyone is afraid of – but this sher is waiting to make friends. It teaches the lesson of inclusivity, acceptability, and unwavering friendship without judgments influenced by pre-set notions!

'Pinjray main chirya' is another gem that gives a very important message. We’ve all seen birds being kept in cages, some of us are even fond of capturing exotic birds as a hobby. The rhyme encourages us to understand how the chirya might feel because of this cruelty which prevents her from flying in the skies freely to find food for her children waiting for her to return to the nest

Just keep swimming! How adorable is this fighter batakh who teaches us to never give up despite all odds and difficulties we face! Jeet gayi batakh ne na maani haar… what a wonderful way of keeping children motivated to achieve their goals in life with dedication.

It just keeps getting better! Hats off to Gluco for coming up with rhymes that are teaching kids invaluable life lesson! 'Mein Tu Aik Khargosh Hoon', revolves around a Khargosh known for being the fastest one. He embraces his super-power, but also acknowledges that he sometimes tires down and uses his mental capabilities to find his way forward in life.

Well, this rhyme isn’t just for kids! We totally love how it reiterates the importance of learning Urdu ginti in a society where all the focus is on teaching them counting in English. Ek Dou Teen Haathi Nikle… how much can you count in Urdu?

This one makes us want to befriend the mesmerising sea creatures! We love how happy the geeli machli is, as she enjoys her life in water. It teaches the children to care for the underwater animals and feel happy by feeding them food.

Bholay Bhaalu Bhaiyya is another catchy tune that teaches children a very important lesson: finding happiness in the little things of life and sharing it with others. The joyous train ride bholay bhaalu bhaiyya enjoys with his animal friends perfectly depicts the spirit of doing good all year around.

For generations, Peek Freans Gluco has been the trusted brand for mothers, offering the finest nutritious energy offerings to their children. And once again, it has managed to captivate the mothers. Many Gluco moms have been raving about how their young and even older kids are humming to the catchy tunes while enjoying the top-notch graphics and not to forget the enthralling vocals, composition, and lyrics by Bilal Maqsood.
