Tax officers learn handling guns

Complete two-week training from the Special Security Unit

KARACHI:

Fifty-four Federal Board of Revenue personnel, including 14 women, completed a two-week "Security Awareness and Weapons Safety Training" from the Special Security Unit.

According to a statement issued by the Special Security Unit, experienced SSU instructors trained the personnel. The training modules included mock counter-terrorism exercises, building search, weapon handling and shooting, self-defence, martial arts, parades, raid techniques and close quarter combat training.

A simple and solemn ceremony was held in the conference hall of SSU headquarters.

Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui was the chief guest at the event. At the same time, SP SSU Iram Awan, Commissioner Inland Revenue Gardari Mal, Abdul Qadir Sheikh, Deputy Commissioners Land Revenue Adeel Qudusi, Inspector Inland Revenue Syed Wajid Ali Shah also attended the event.

Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui congratulated the personnel who passed out. He said that the tactical training provided to the Federal Board of Revenue officials would be helpful. Commissioner Inland Revenue Gardari Mal thanked the SSU administration for training the Federal Board of Revenue personnel.

Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui distributed certificates among the successful pass out officers of the Federal Board of Revenue.
