KARACHI:

After four members of the provincial assembly from Sindh parted ways with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Aamir Liaquat Hussain, an MNA of the ruling party at the Centre, is also poised to say goodbye to the skipper.

Liaquat, a television anchor and member of the National Assembly, while announcing parting ways with the PTI in ‘near future’, said that he has advised Prime Minister Imran Khan not to panic (Ghabrana nahi hai).

He further added that the prime minister’s supporters were still supporting him despite his “worst behaviour”.

Liaquat said the current political situation was a game of nerves and prayed that may Allah Almighty make things better for Pakistan. “From now on our ways are separate. I will remember the reward you gave me for my loyalty,” he said in a statement.

It should be noted that Aamir Liaquat is angry over the recent visit of Prime Minister Imran to Karachi and not being invited to the events organised by the PTI.

On the other hand, four PTI MPAs in Sindh Assembly voted for Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s candidate Nisar Khuhro in the recent Senate elections. Rebel members include Aslam Abro, Shehryar Khan Shar, Karim Bakhsh Gabol and Dewan Sachal.

PTI Lyari MNA Shakoor Shad is also dissatisfied with the party in the current situation. He had defeated PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Lyari seat in the 2018 general election.
