Awareness walk on World Kidney Day held

The walk began at DHQ’s main gate and ended at Kachahri Morr

An awareness walk was organised on Thursday by the staff of District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Khawnewal for World Kidney Day.

The District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Nephrology, Pediatric Medicines and Pediatric Nephrology departments attended the walk, which began at DHQ’s main gate and ended at Kachahri Morr.

District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) medical staff consisting of Dr Muhammad Nabeel Saleem, Dr Masroor, Dr Zafer, Dr Amjed, Dr Kashif and others participated after cutting a cake with kidney patients in the respective kidney ward.

The participants carried banners and placards containing information about the kidneys.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Masroor underscored the importance of healthy kidneys, stating that precaution was the only way to avoid renal diseases.

Delayed diagnoses intensify the disease he said, adding that regular check-ups reduce the chances of complications.
