KARACHI:

A petition has been filed in Sindh High Court (SHC) for the implementation of the Anti-Rape Trial and Investigation Act 2021 regarding gang rape and sexual abuse of girls in the province.

Advocate Tariq Mansoor took a stand in the petition that tragic incidents have taken place in many areas of the province in recent days, whereas the law made for gang-rape trials is not being implemented and the lack of enforcement of the law is affecting cases of sexual abuse.

The petition demanded that the court should issue strict instructions to prevent incidents and ensure a speedy trial.
