LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Sunday that February 27, 2019, would always be remembered in the history of Pakistan’s air defence as the day when PAF pilots destroyed two Indian fighter planes. “The nation pays rich tribute to the valour and bravery of Pakistan Air Force,” he said in a message marking the completion of three years since the accomplishment.

He said it was an illustrious chapter in the history of Pakistan’s defence. PAF fighter pilots had carved out a new history of courage, he asserted. The chief minister said the day had brought nothing except remorse for India. The brave soldiers of the homeland had given a bitter lesson to India of humiliation. He said Pakistan gave a surprise to the enemy by destroying its fighter planes.

“I pay salute to the brave pilots of Pakistan Air Force for safeguarding the aerial boundaries of our homeland” CM Buzdar added. In another statement, Chief Minister Buzdar claimed that the opposition’s assertions about bringing a no-trust motion against the government were a stunt. He said the nation had no interest in such moves. “People want progress and prosperity while the opposition is only putting hindrances in the course of advancement,” he alleged.

The CM underscored that the opposition would attain nothing by merely indulging in politics for the sake of power. “The opposition lacks courage to bring a no-confidence motion,” he emphasised. The chief minister also expressed his profound grief over the death of Sajjada Nasheen Pir Haroonur Rasheed of Mohra Sharif.
