Afridi briefs premier on Kashmir committee’s efforts

PTI lawmaker also apprises the premier about ongoing uplift projects in Kohat

ISLAMABAD:

Kashmir Committee Chairman Shehryar Afridi Tuesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and briefed him about the committee’s efforts to further highlight the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) issue at different global fora.

The chairman mentioned the efforts made at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, European Union, US Congress and other international bodies in cooperation with other stakeholders.

He also apprised the premier about the ongoing uplift projects in Kohat Division.

The prime minister lauded efforts of the committee to highlight the Kashmir issue at international level.

He directed the Kashmir committee chairman to ensure timely completion of all development schemes in Kohat Division to provide residents of the region with maximum relief and facilities.
