The Covid data issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed a continued downward trajectory of the pandemic on Friday.
The NCOC said that the single-day Covid tally again fell below 2,500, while the national positivity ratio came down to 4.5%. Also, the number of active cases fell to 70,525, including 1,496 patients in critical condition, after 3,009 patients made full recovery from the infectious disease.
The NCOC said in its daily update that 2,400 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, marking the fifth consecutive day of fewer than 3,000 infections. It added that 33 patients died in the last 24 hours.
The daily pandemic bulletin said that the highest number of fresh cases, 914, was reported in Sindh, while most of the deaths, 15, occurred in Punjab.
