Actor Nadia Jamil recently took to Instagram to post a couple of heartfelt notes on living life to the fullest and embracing change. Dressed in a pink and gold gharara-kameez combo while posing in a mango tree planted by her grandmother, the actor, who is a cancer survivor, elaborated on the importance of celebrating life.

She wrote, "Here's to us celebrating that pulsating force in our hearts, our minds, our guts. Here's to us celebrating life [and] celebrating the transitions, from womb to this life outside the womb, from living in this body to the eventual truth of moving out of this body, from pain to choosing our own inner peace, from fear to choosing courage, and to winning."

On self-love, she continued, "I have begun to love this amazing self I see and recognise as Nadia Jamil. I have begun to be the captain of this incredible spaceship moving through the cosmos that is my spirit," adding, "I love this sense of being in-charge of my emotional, mental and spiritual state."

Writing about embracing who she is, in all her diversity, the actor wrote, "Whatever the universe throws at me, I'm letting it nourish and train the warrior in me. Even as the creative Goddess within me relishes the act of creating, the spiritual in me stirs in surrender, in finding the balance, constantly. The queen in me takes responsibility for herself and her environment with grace… the Joker in me laughs with you all at the wonder of life! And the rockstar I have always been continues to challenge societal constraints no soul should ever be confined in."

She concluded the note with, "I'll be 50 this year. What a beginning it is going to be!"

In a separate post, the actor shared a picture of her playing with a couple of puppies, calling them "one of God's greatest gifts to the world".

She added, "They are so sure in their convictions. They love without [an] agenda or manipulation, without needing to walk out or give up on a relationship. They can teach us all a thing or two about staying in love. Committing to love. Taking responsibility for love."
