‘Forms of Existence’ show on display at PNCA

Show commemorates life and work of legendary artist Rabia Zuberi

The "Forms of Existence" show is currently on display at the Pakistan National Council the Arts (PNCA).

It hopes to commemorate the life and work of legendary artist Rabia Zuberi. The show is an amalgamation of sculptures, paintings and drawings from PNCA's permanent collection. The artist gifted more than 20 artworks to the National Art Gallery, which are a part of the permanent collection.

The show includes a large installation piece by Rabia, as well those which displayed in the courtyard, representing the message of love and peace. The show will be on display till February 10 in gallery no3 on the ground floor.

Rabia Zuberi was a master artist who dedicated her life to art and education in Pakistan. Her artworks represent humanism. Through various mediums, she voices out to the world to seek for love, forgiveness, social justice and peace.

Some of her prominent works including 'Peace message from the progressive world' is a part of National Art Gallery's permanent collection, including several other pieces.

Management from the PNCA has continually voiced their commitment towards promoting the significant aspects of the country.

The PNCA encourages community participation in gallery activities, fostering curatorial practice to artist's own understanding of their work and encourages a healthy and sustainable local arts industry. PNCA has maintained a range of regionally focused visual arts exhibitions featuring both nationally and internationally recognized artists.
