LAHORE:

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday arrived in Lahore on a three-day visit during which he would travel to Sargodha to attend a rally at Sial Sharif.

Apart from this, he would hold meetings at his residence to chalk out a plan of action for the Islamabad bound long march that is scheduled to commence from Karachi on February 27.

Talking to The Express Tribune, a PPP office-bearer said Bilawal will attend a rally on January 30, organised by the Sialvis, a spiritual family from Sargodha.

Recently on January 11, Sahibzada Pir Naeemuddin Sialvi, former PTI ticket holder and a runner up from NA-92 Sargodha during his meeting with party chairman had announced joining the PPP.

Naeemuddin Sialvi is son of late Pir Naseeruddin Sialvi, a Sargodha based religious cleric. The PPP office-bearer further said that this rally would allow Sialvis to exhibit their street power whereas for PPP it would help the party to not only exhibit its growing political muscle in the province but also charge its political workers for the February showdown. He added that the party has also notified an eight member team to coordinate the arrangements for the rally.

Other important activities that the PPP chairman will indulge in whilst in Lahore include deliberating upon the road map, stopover points and party campsites for the long march with the provincial leadership.

The PPP office bearer went on to say that several proposals were under consideration for the long march.
