Four suspects, including three injured in alleged police encounters city, were arrested from different part of the city. Weapons, mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession.
During a police encounter near Paposh Nagar cemetery between Friday and Saturday night, an injured suspect and his accomplice were arrested. Two 9mm pistols were recovered from their possession.
According to police, the injured accused was identified as Hasnain, son of Abdul Qadir Khosa, while his accomplice was identified as Tahir Zaman, son of Wazifullah.
The arrested suspects were allegedly lurking in the area with the intention of committing a crime when they came face to face with the police.
The injured accused has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment, while the criminal record of the accused is being checked. Cases of police encounters and illegal weapons have been registered against the arrested suspects and the investigation has been handed over to the relevant department. In an exchange of fire between police and armed suspects in Shah Latif Town Sector's 21A, one suspect was injured and a TT pistol, seven mobile phones, Rs10,000 in cash, and a motorcycle were recovered from his possession. The injured accused's he injured accused's accomplices managed to escape from the spot. According to Shah Latif Town Police, he was identified as Khush Dil, son of Yusuf Khan. The suspect was rushed to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, another suspect during a police encounter near Korangi Machhli Mor area of Zaman Town police station. The accused was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical treatment where he was identified as 25-year-old Noor Sabah, son of Muhammad Hussain.
An accomplice of the arrested accused, Bilal alias Jago, managed to escape from the spot. Police recovered a TT pistol and a motorcycle from the possession of the injured accused and started searching for the fugitive.
