The District and Sessions Court ordered the police to recover 53 bonded farmers from the private jail of a landlord in Kot Ghulam Muhammad. Reports claim that farmer Abdul Majeed Machi had appealed to the court that Muhammad Hanif Qaimkhani, a landlord, had imprisoned 53 members of his family and used them as labour. The police, on the orders of the court, rescued the farmers including women and children.
