Rescue 1122 shifts injured to nearby hospitals after provision of first aid

LAHORE:

Five people were killed and six others were seriously injured in two separate traffic accidents in the city on Friday.

The first collision took place between a passenger bus and a van near Jahan Khan on Jhang Bhakkar Road in which three people were killed and four passengers suffered with injuries. Reportedly, the condition of injured was said to be critical.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital Bhakkar after the provision of first aid.

Rescue said the family travelling in a van reached Jahan Khan to travel to Sindh when a passenger bus coming from Jhang to Bhakkar collided with their van and a loud explosion took place. Consequently, 35-year-old Sima Bibi, 40-year-old Murad Ali and fivr-year old died on the spot while four persons severely injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Bhakkar after first aid.

Meanwhile, in another accident, two people were killed while two others were severely injured.

Reportedly, a passenger bus rammed over a motorcycle in which four people were traveling near Tote Shah, 10 km from Khansar.

Rescue 1122 said a woman and a child died on the spot while Rescue personnel provided immediate medical aid to the injured and shifted the dead bodies to a nearby hospital.

To prevent the increasing number of traffic accidents, District Police Officer Bhakkar SyedAli Raza took immediate notice and directed Traffic Police Inspector Muhammad Azeemullah to take action against overloaded vehicles as well as smoke emitting vehicles.
