The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Wednesday formed the Pakistan Hindu Temple Management Committee.
In the committee’s first meeting, Federal Minister Pir Noorul Haq expressed hope that the new Hindu committee would act as a bridge between the non-Muslim population and the state.
Inaugural meeting of the Pakistan Hindu Temple Management Committee was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and chaired by Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri.
Chairman Abandoned Waqf Property Board briefed the newly formed Hindu Temple Management Committee.
According to sources, Pakistan Hindu Temple Management Committee will look after matters related to Hindu places of worship.
Krishna Sharma, Dewan Chand Chawla, Haroon Sarab Dayal, Mohandas, Naranjan Kumar, Megha Arora, Amit Shadani, Ashok Kumar, Versi Mill Dewani, Amar Nath Randhawa are also among the members.

On the occasion, the religious affairs minister said problems of the non-Muslim population of Pakistan are being solved on a priority basis.
The formation of the committee will be helpful in resolving the issues of the Pakistani Hindu community. “They want to promote harmony among people of different cultures in the region.”
Evil elements want to create an atmosphere of contradiction in Pakistan on the basis of religion, sect and linguistics, he added.
