Minor boy also reported molested after abduction

A woman was raped and a minor boy was molested in separate incidents in the city while two minors foiled the rape attempts by crying for help on Tuesday.

A complainant told police that his sister-in-law was abducted by the suspect Khanda who took her to an unknown location and raped her.

The police registered a case under the provisions of 496A, 376 Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and started searching for the accused.

Meanwhile, a minor was sexually assaulted in the city. Reportedly, the victim was abducted by his friends Noman and 10 others who took him to a camp, where Noman and two others sexually assaulted him.

Meanwhile, a minor foiled a rape attempt.

Reportedly, the suspect Owais tried to sexually assault an eight-year-old girl. The minor foiled the rape attempt by crying for help. The neighbours gathered over noticing the minor’s noise and handed over the suspect to the police.

Similarly, an eight-year-old boy was on his way to sell eggs when the suspect Asad lured him by taking him to the nearby fields and tried to rape him. The boy foiled the attempt by making noise. The villagers apprehended the suspect Asad and handed him over to the police.

Incident of sexual violence against women are rampant in Punjab.

On December 14, a woman was raped at gunpoint and a minor boy was molested in the city while another minor foiled a sexual assault attempt by crying for help in Kurianwala.

A complainant told police that his 26-year-old daughter-in-law was alone in the house when the suspect Shabbir Ahmed entered the house forcibly at gunpoint and raped her.

Ghulam Muhammadabad police registered a case against him under Section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
