With digital investment on the rise, NFTs have gained immense popularity with their unique art styles. Many of them have been bought for exorbitant prices and are valued for much more. Here are some of the most expensive NFTs sold yet.

#5 Crypto Punk #5217

Valued at $5.59 million, this piece is part of a collection of 24 ape punks. This piece with the knitted hat and gold chain has been enlisted as one of the rare and unique NFT art. This piece has already been bought and is not up for re-sale at the moment.

#4 Ocean Front

This piece was sold at Nifty Gateway for $6 million, designed by NFT artist, Mike Winkelmann. The piece aims to create awareness around climate change, displaying a tree sitting on top of cargo containers in the middle of the ocean. Founder and CEO of Tron Foundation, Justin Sunwon the bid to buy the artwork. The proceeds were sent to benefit the Open Earth Foundation, an NGO working to eliminate the risks of climate change.

#3 Crossroad

This art piece was sold in February 2021 and remained one of the most digital NFT artworks for some time. The art revolved around the US elections and showcases a defeated Donald Trump lying in the background after the results of the election of 2020. It would have shown him wearing a crown if he had won. The piece was sold for $6.6 million for ten times its price within four months of its purchase.

#2Crypto Punk #7804

This piece was similar to the other Crypto Punks but had an addition of sunglasses, cap, and pipe. The NFT was sold for $7.56 million by Dylan Field, CEO of Figma. The pipe makes this a unique piece and was sold in March 2021.

#1 Everydays: The first 5000 days

Everydays was the most expensive NFT ever sold for $69.3 million after being made by Mike Winkelmann and sold at Christie's. The piece is an artwork collage of 5,000 of Beeple's earlier artworks that he made daily in his last 5,000 days. Mike Winkelmann was inspired by artist Tom Judd, and began the project himself in 2007.
