USTDA to fund feasibility study in Cattle Colony

KARACHI:

A memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to prepare a feasibility study for production of biogas from cdung generated in Landhi Cattle Colony.

Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) Managing Director Zubair Ahmed Channa, , Times Group CEO Sajid Ali Abbasi and Sea Spire Advisors Managing Principal Jaffar Hasnain signed the MOU.

The United States Trade Development Agency (USTDA), a US-based agency, will provide a grant to the Times Group to develop a feasibility study for the production of biogas from animal waste in Landhi Cattle Colony.

In this regard, the American Consulate General has awarded this project to the Times Group. The work of preparing the feasibility study will be done by Sea Spire Advisors. The funding for all the research project cost will be borne by the USTDA while the SSWMB will provide animal waste to the company and will assist them in providing relevant facilities in this regard on which the company will conduct research.
