Police solve murder mystery after six months

Arrest victim's wife, accomplice allegedly involved in the killing

KARACHI:

Investigation police have resolved the case of mysterious murder of Shahbaz Nathwani, an IT businessman, and arrested the victim's wife and her accomplice on charges of murder.

Nathwani was shot dead by unknown assailants on June 7 this year near Mehran Bungalows, Scheme 33 in Sachal area. The victim's wife Dania and their six-year-old daughter were also in the car at the time of the incident.

The Sachal police had registered a case against unidentified suspects on the complaint of Shabbir Nathwani, the father of the deceased.

The complainant had expressed suspicion that his son was killed under a conspiracy or personal enmity.

The victim's father said that his daughter-in-law had gone to her parents' house in Safoora a week ago and Nathwani had gone to bring her back on the night of June 6 at about 10.00pm and he was shot dead next morning while he was returning home.

However, the investigating police solved the mysterious murder case six months later and arrested the victim's wife and her accomplice Jamshed for their involvement in the incident. The slain had married the accused about seven years ago.
