Court summons Noor Muqqadam’s father to record statement

Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani has summoned Shaukat Muqqadam, the father and plaintiff in the Noor Muqqadam murder case, to record his statement.

The plaintiff in the case will appear before the court on December 15.

Therapy Works owner Tahir Zahoor pleaded with the court through his lawyer the CCTV footage of the murder should be allowed to be run in the court. He said that the hearing should be conducted in-camera for a certain period when the CCTV footage will be displayed during the cross-examination of the prosecution’s witness Mudassir.

The lawyer said that the court was already aware of the CCTV footage going viral. He said that showing the footage in the courtroom will clear the mist.At this, the judge remarked that he would look into the matter.

Counsels for all suspects completed the cross-examination of the statement of witness Zubair Mazhar, who did not write the name of the informant. He said that he did not see any inured on the crime scene nor went to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for recording any statement.

The witness said that he found the door opened at the crime scene and he did not make it locked as well.
