Health secretary reviews dengue treatment facilities

Department of Specialised Healthcare Special Secretary Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti paid a surprise visit to Services Hospital on Saturday.

On this occasion Principal Services Medical College Dr Tayyaba Waseem, Services Hospital MS Dr Ehteshamul Haq, Head of Medicine Department Dr Muhammad Imran, Dengue Expert Advisory Committee Chairman Dr Arif Nadeem and others accompanied him.

The special secretary visited various wards including Dengue Triage Area, Medical Emergency and reviewed the arrangements for dengue.

He inquired about the medical and other facilities provided to the dengue patients in different wards.

The patients thanked the health department for providing proper dengue arrangements and medical facilities.

The special secretary also appreciated the efforts of the principal, MS and his team. Head of Urology Dr Muhammad Shehzad briefed the special secretary about the facilities provided in the Kidney and Bladder Ward. Kidney transplantation will be started in the hospital soon.

In-charge IT Department Services Hospital Dr Hafiz Waseem gave a briefing.

Health Secretary Ajmal Bhatti said like the foreign health system, the data of patients from all over Punjab will be collected in one place.
