The PM stated this while presiding over a meeting of AHAN held at the PM House, which was attended by Foreign Minister and AHAN Chairperson Hina Rabbani Khar. AHAN, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Production, exclusively markets its products as a part of poverty alleviation initiative for the rural artisans. He directed the board of directors to make the selection of members on merit. The PM also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to exhibit the products abroad. The PM expressed satisfaction that major fashion houses and fabric designers were AHAN’s customers.  He directed the Ministry of Productions and the Ministry of Finance to help the organisation harness its full potential to benefit the poor artisans of rural areas.
